Raised in the cosy but vibrant North Hertfordshire town of Hitchin, Alex Francis spent his formative years digesting a rich cocktail of dynamic, soulful music out of his family home. Spanning everything from Martha Reeves to Neil Young, Michael Jackson to Bruce Springsteen, Alex carved out an identity as an aspiring musician before migrating to Brighton to study music at university, beginning his path as an artist.

Having toured alongside the likes of Stereophonics, James Bay, Alanis Morrisette and Sting, as well as an official duet with Melanie C. steadily establishing himself as an emerging artist who breaks the boundaries between contemporary pop and classic soul. Alex has been championed by BBC Radio 2 and BBC Introducing as well as on National European FM Radio and to date he has amassed over 20 million streams on Spotify as well as having live experience including showcases at SXSW Festival in Austin, Liverpool Sound City and Mad Cool Festival in Madrid.

Alex returns on ‘If I Can’t Have You’, his first original release in nearly two years and the first of a new collection of songs penned during a highly creative lockdown.
