MOM + THE REBELS
7-time All-Ireland champion harp and banjo player, Lisa Canny, from Co. Mayo, met Bristol-born producer and bass player Dejay Edmund in a studio in London in 2016. When their two worlds collided something magical happened and Rebel POP was born. They spent the next 3 months living and working out of a box room studio with one microphone and a whole world of fusion to explore.
Their debut single “Come By Me” spent 16 weeks on the charts, followed by “Down By The River” which was playlisted on 2fm, RTE Radio and BBC Intro supported. Their latest single “Swayze” has made added to multiple Spotify editorial playlists including New Music Friday and has been receiving Radio 1 play. Other highlights include:
